It *was* his birthday shout "Hooray!"

He woke up early and ate breakfast and played a game with George (that's what the mask is from).

 Then they played out in V's sand box. 

 Then out in the dust/dirt/gravel.

 and then in more dirt/dust/rocks.

 And for lunch he's had chicken nuggets and french fries. 

 And a Lollipop treat.

 and if you can make it out: he got an indian shooting a bow on his birthday.

 He was a happy lovey baby and had a great time.

We went to the camp site/the Grand Canyon on his birthday and I wanted to do a travel post as well so this is  a little short/unexciting. But tomorrow there is more- so come back. 

Near The Edge

I just got to say Grand Canyon- this dude looks like he's having fun.

 (This is the official Grand Canyon logo for falling off and was posted everywhere) If I had been in charge they would be horizontal or upside down, not looking like he's doing a cannon ball. They should have got the guy who did the 'danger zone' picture. 

This guy is obviously NOT having fun and when I do go into the actual Canyon I'll make sure to avoid the Danger Zone. (This is another official Grand Canyon logo/picture).

For all you scardey cats: I was using caution. And Matey was loving it.

 See- I took the baby off for this one.

 This is where I was standing/sitting so people could see that there was not a handy ledge 10 feet down in case I fell. I was going to take a picture straight down but when I leaned over for it I felt a little vertigo and settled for this one instead.

 This shot was to show that it really was at the Grand Canyon.

 Oh please- He's on a leash and V is right there...

 See he'd have to push her off first and I'd have to let go of the leash.

We had a LOT of fun and he was sad to leave but it was past nap time. There are more pictures that I'll be putting up later, hope these tide you over until we get back from the Grand Canyon. 

"Water"

I love hearing him say water. When he says it by himself (not prompted) it's like he doesn't know where to end it (like kids don't know when to end bananananana) but I haven't been able to capture him just saying it. 

He used to not say "water" at all, would just point and whine and when I said "water" would make an agreeing sound BUT after watching Despicable Me he decided that I was mis pronouncing it and the minions had it right as "walalala" or "laolaoalaol".

(In the beginning when Gru is calling his minions together there are several around a watercooler and they're laughing over the bubbles that come up when you get a drink and mimic the noise.)

His smile right before he grabs for the camera is super cute too.
