Where is Mommy's camera?

So Matey has lost Mommy's camera.

Oops! 

So in news: Matey is a big boy and using the potty on a regular basis. There are hardly any accidents anymore during the day and most mornings he wakes up dry. 

He's learning the sounds that letters make and we're also working on writing the letters. 

Everything else is normal: he still loves books, pirates, dinosaurs, coloring, and learning. Getting dirty, planting seeds and talking up a storm.

Getting dressed is harder then it sounds

I asked Matey to get some clothes on for the day.

He started fussing that his shirt wouldn't go on.

 It was a pair of his pajama shorts that didn't have another hole for his arm...

I helped him pick out new clothes and he got these on all by himself.

 He is such a big boy growing up and learning lots.

Sneak Peek

Here is a sneak peek at Matey's Pirate Party

These will be the treat "bags" that the guests take home.

Filled with the goodies. The telescope and eye patch will be handed out at the start of the party, the favor treasure chests at the end. 

There will be a ring pop, ocean gummies, ocean water squirter, pirate bracelet, ocean animals, blow streamer, stickers, and gold or silver bead necklace in each treasure chest. 

All filled, stacked, and ready to be plundered.

Here is some of, possibly all of, the decoration for the party. It's two separate designs/characters but I know Matey will never notice and I don't think it's super noticeable even to a grown up. 

I think they're adorable and the lids on the cup are a fantastic idea.

Matey is currently learning how to Use the Potty. Last night he went #1 before bed, and this morning he woke up DRY, then went #1 again! We're still working on #2 but we're getting there. He's doing a great job and is looking forward to being a Big Boy.

We're also starting plans for Matey's Pirate themed birthday. Sounds like fun!

Well that didn't take very long did it?

I must admit I thought I'd be able to do more than 2 days before missing one but... well... there ya go. 

Matey loves playing with my phone. I have a children's learning app where you can trace the alphabet with your choice of color. He loves that his fingers can be different colors. 

"My thumb is yellow." "My finger is blue." 

It's adorable.

So I was going through and realized that my slacking of posting resulted in no one ever seeing this.

He very much enjoyed his little toys and treats and still has some of the candy left!

She has VERY long hair for a girl her age. (is it just me or does he remind anyone else highly of George in this pic?)

Oh Look! Mommy is blonde too! That only makes sense if baby is blonde. 

thePirates birthday is this month (hooray for thePirate) and as a present we are going to be updating EVERYDAY! That's right: I will succeed. Even if it means a lot of midnight posts when I forget.
