This video is super cute but I wanted/tried to post one where he (Matey) is eating cupons. I'll keep working on it. But it's good to show thePirate and Matey bonding for reals (most pictures I label as 'bonding' they're watching TV).

As we were leaving the beach I found this and just had to get a shot of it.

Well, thePirate managed to get lots done this weekend *yay*, he's got his gear all packed and I think most if not all of his normal people stuff.

Matey is learning how to crawl but might be damaged by the time he gets the hang of it. At the moment he's found out that if he lifts his butt and moves his legs he magically gets closer to stuff, he has not however discoved you get there a lot quicker and without bumping your head on it if you lift up your chest. I'll try and take a video of him with his face smushed against the ground and his little feet working hard to move him a few inches to whatever he thinks he wants.

The more mobile he gets the less cautious he seems to be and I need to actually start watching him when I put him down on the ground, gone are the days where I could leave him after changing his diaper (to throw it away) and come back and find him happily fighting the diaper bag. Yesterday when I returned soemthing else had caught his eye (not sure what) and he was bumping his head in an effort to get to it. Poor little Matey had a red spot but it cleared up after a few minutes.

I guess that'll teach me to walk away.

This is from back in the day when thePirate had cuter hair than he currently does and Matey still fit that outfit (picture from early July).

thePirate would now like to introduce to you all: *he doesn't remember* ... native wild baby king or something like that.

Now we know that Matey would be a really ugly girl. (Can't you just see the bangs and bob cut?)

Well thePirate was able to mark off one of his "to do's" however I looked around and am adding two more... poor poor Pirate...

Life's a Beach

thePirate had today off of work so we took a break from packing and went to the beach.

He got up at 4ish to go fishing (Matey and I slept) and then we all headed out to Titlow

around... noonish/1ish.

Our little Matey slept for about 5-10 min before rolling over and waking up very

disgruntled at being suddenly on the sand. Luckily he was in good spirits when he awoke.

Tomorrow we'll be doing more packing and my goal is to get a start on the kitchen and have

thePirate get his gear together and off the floor.

Plane tickets

They should be less expensive. I've got the ticket for NV for me and Matey and then I'm about to get the ticket for Buh to come from ID today. My schedual is so busy it makes me sad... only because I don't know when I'll be able to sleep.

Packing is going well and *fingers crossed* by the time Buh gets here it'll all be done with and we can just leave.

There and Back Again: A Zwergers Tale

So I have pictures of the fauxhawk (on Matey) but I need to find out how to get it onto one of their computers.

The trip up here was pretty good and without the u-haul behind us I think it will be even better. Matey held up well, thePirate was well hydrated and I survived bouncing back and forth between my two boys.

I've cleaned up the kitchen and have my Cricut and other scrapbook material out so hopefully I'll be able to get a chance to use it here and catch up on mine and thePirates book and get a start on Mateys.

so here we go! to grammys house! with loads of boxes! unfortunately we won't be seeing grandma or beki or Vdonn but well... i guess it keeps me from being spoiled. 'sides we'll see you all eventually i promise. This one (below) looks like someone... i can't put my finger on who...

I like that Matey is a well balanced blend of both thePirate and I.
